An innovative project for a future-proof Dutch Transport & Logistics industry
Uniform, simple and controlled data sharing
iSHARE is an innovative project from the Dutch Neutral Logistics Information Platform (NLIP), a platform which was developed to give the Dutch logistics sector a renewed competitive edge in Europe.
Since June 2016, public and private partners within the Transport & Logistics sector have been jointly developing a scheme that will create a simple and controlled way of sharing data digitally. NLIP has asked Innopay to facilitate this process.
The iSHARE project will result in a uniform set of agreements for identification, authentication and authorisation, based on the principle that organisations themselves decide what data they will share (or not) and with whom.
NLIP aims to use this scheme to remove obstacles to further data sharing, to boost cooperation within the chain and to scale up, accelerate and effectively connect existing initiatives on digital data exchange.
The aim is to introduce iSHARE in a lead group composed of logistics businesses and their clients with a go-live in January 2018, and to then be ready for sector-wide adoption. In order to reach a working solution, various organisations are working together on the scheme – a set of agreements that are useful and usable for everyone in the sector.
During co-creation sessions, the participating organisations provide feedback concerning any legal, operational, functional or technical questions that may come up during the development of the scheme.
